is a former professional football player and today is trainer and in possession of an UEFA-Pro License. He looks back on a long career as a professional athlete and participated in over 180 games as a player in the 1st & 2nd German Football League, as well as was a participant in the European Cup. After his active athletic career, he worked, among other things, as a Trainer and a Sports Director in the 1st & 2nd German Football League. Michael was also for many years the responsible Camp Director for the Football School of the Real Madrid Foundacion.
For the 1985/1986 season, Trainer Karl-Heinz Feldcamp signed him to play for the, at that time, DFB Pokal Champion Team Bayer Uerdingen. Uerdingen qualified for the European Cup since they were champions from the DFB Pokal. The highlight of his career can be counted as the game in the quarter finals of the European Cup against Dynamo Dresden. The game went down in football history as the “das Wunder von der Grotenburg” (The Wonder of Grotenburg).
