Our vision<\/h3>\n

Siblings of children with life-shortening illnesses, mourning or severely handicapped children can take time out during the football and adventure week, 6 days under full qualified supervision.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the football and adventure week we would like to give the affected siblings moments of happiness, they should simply have fun, escape from everyday life and: <\/span><\/p>\n

In the last 5 years we have been able to give almost 120 children from socially disadvantaged families, refugee children and shadow children the opportunity to participate in a Real Madrid Camp, financed by sponsors.<\/p>\n

During the summer holidays 2021 we are organising a „WIR F\u00dcR KINDER“ football and adventure week in Gelsenkirchen with the association „Hilfe f\u00fcr verletzte Kinderseelen e. V.“. The children visit a camp in Gelsenkirchen.<\/p>\n

Stroking the souls of children<\/h3>\n

Together with the relief organisation „Fl\u00fcsterpost.e. V.“ from Mainz, which cares for children of cancer patients and parents who have died of cancer, and the organisation „Hilfe f\u00fcr verletzte Kinderseelen“ from Recklinghausen, which cares for mourning children and siblings of children who have been taken ill for life, 10 siblings of children who have been taken ill for life and are mourning from all over Germany will take part in the camp for one week. You will be professionally cared for full-time and also stay overnight on site. In this way they can recover from the stressful everyday life in the family.<\/p>\n

Sick children are in focus<\/h3>\n

If a child in the family is seriously ill, often the whole family life is tailored to this child. The needs and wishes of the siblings then usually take a back seat.
This is usually not done on purpose, but the parents are often under a lot of pressure and assume that the healthy child „is already walking along“. However, the siblings of the affected child also carry a heavy burden, because they are worried about their sibling and therefore have fears of their own. And of course, this is not the only reason they need attention and care.
The situation is similar in families where a close family member dies of cancer. The surviving adults are busy with themselves and their grief, but often do not include the children. However, children have fine antennas and perceive the changed situation particularly intensively. And they too are grieving, but often do not dare to show it, in order not to put additional strain on the adults. This puts a strain on the children and can even have a traumatic effect.<\/p>\n
